Questions parents ask

What families ask before choosing an Australian university

Honest answers — including what Study House cannot promise.

What will studying in Australia really cost per year?

For the business degrees we could verify, tuition is A$45,120–56,800 a year. On top of that you need living costs (the visa requires you to show A$29,710 a year, and many students spend more), health cover and visa fees. Scholarships often reduce tuition by 20–40% but rarely cover living costs.

Is it safe? What should we check?

Study House cannot give a safety rating for a city or campus. Check each shortlisted university’s student-support and safety information, follow your government’s travel advice, and ask us to help you compare cities on cost and student support.

What if the visa is refused?

You receive the reasons in writing. Depending on the reasons, you may be able to lodge a new application that addresses them, and visa fees are generally not refunded. We can help you understand the reasons, but the Department of Home Affairs makes the decision and we cannot change the outcome.

Do you guarantee admission or a visa?

No. Study House cannot guarantee admission or a visa. Universities decide admission and the government decides visas. What we do is help you choose realistic universities, prepare a complete application and avoid mistakes that can be avoided.

How do we stay in contact with you?

Leave your phone number or Telegram username in the booking form and we will contact you through it. At your first consultation, tell us how and how often you want to receive updates.

Can I work to pay for my studies?

Yes, within limits: up to 48 hours per fortnight while your course is in session, and no limit outside sessions. Work income should not be your main plan for paying tuition, because you must show funds for your first year when you apply.
